A Very San Diego Thanksgiving

{Save a turkey, eat a cupcake!! Happy Thanksgiving!}

SO this post is mostly about a very San Diego Thanksgiving but we had to include our dear friend Lauren’s cupcakes (whom most of you that frequent our shops already know) and if you’re still wondering what the heck happened to the awesome girl who was ALWAYS working in the Ocean Beach shop, well she moved back to Wisconsin to become a vegan. No not really, she is back in the Midwest to under go another foot surgery with a fantastic doctor at the University of Iowa, we are wishing her the best of luck!

{A warm walk to the Alexander’s}

Warm and walk are not two words us east coasters are accustomed to hearing on Thanksgiving, more like freezing and travel plans, but living in San Diego we get to enjoy the wonderful weather with our friends that fill in for our families back east.

{Ahhhh…Ocean views and Sunny skies.}

{Cooking tips from Martha.}

Nora hosted this wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, and leave it to Nora to have a stack of recipe from Martha, Cooking Light, and Rachael Ray magazines. Martha’s sweet potatoes were one of my personal favorites. This might be a good time to let you know Nora is responsible for Noon’s pinning on Pinterest, so follow us!

{Deep Fry…yummy!}

This was my first time having deep fried turkey, I thought it was fun and yummy! The best part, letting the men do the work, and why wouldn’t any guy want to hang outside, drink beer and deep fry meat?

{Nora and I taking a break before dinner.}

{My first pudding pie, sure it looks a little lumpy but it was soooo goooood.}

{Baby Eevi, 5 months old!}

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
